Industrial Control Group

Group Head: Prof. Paweł D. Domański, Ph.D., D.Sc.

The Industrial Control Team conducts research in close collaboration with industry and its challenges. In particular, this research focuses on the process industry (thermal and renewable energy, chemical and petrochemical), agriculture, as well as autonomous vehicles and logistics. On the research side, we focus primarily on the analysis, modeling, and monitoring of the performance of control systems and industrial processes. In our research we primarily use modern statistical and hybrid methods at the intersection of machine learning. Furthermore, we have many years of practical experience in the design, tuning, and maintenance of process control systems based on base control, ARC (Advanced Regulatory Control), and APC (Advanced Process Control). As part of our collaboration with industry, we have experience and references in conducting industrial feasibility and optimization studies for various systems. Our commercial team can carry out such projects for various sectors of the process industry and various control systems.
