Decision support system for large-scale routing and scheduling problems with complex constraints

The SATIS system developed by SMT Software SA is a modern IT system supporting a number of processes in logistics companies and transport departments of manufacturing and distribution companies. The system allows for significant improvements in the work of fleet dispatchers and allows for the implementation of savings by planning transport work. Integration with the hardware solution for fleet monitoring gives the possibility of current control over the efficient and punctual implementation of the plan. The aim of the project is to extend it with an advanced system supporting planning visits of field workers with complex requirements and limitations. The system will have a number of innovative features in relation to the existing solutions. The functional requirements of the system include: determining routes. Determining the work schedule, taking into account the time conditions - time conditions of the trip (cost depends on the time of day/week when it is realized), taking into account the requirements of service quality - the number and schedule of visits independently for each client within the planned time horizon, taking into account the different places where employees are stationed, the possibility of dynamic change of the visit plan in response to changing external conditions - the need for urgent visits, absenteeism of employees, etc., creating an initial allocation of employees to customers to allow the construction of target plans with the best possible properties, enabling temporary or permanent changes of allocation.
