Machine Perception Group

Group Head: Prof. Włodzimierz Kasprzak, Ph.D., D.Sc.

Areas of research include the theory and methods of pattern recognition, artificial intelligence and machine learning, with particular emphasis on their applications for the analysis of digital images and speech signals. Signal and image processing algorithms for separation and sources from their mixtures and watermarking, pattern search in images and video material, 2D and 3D object modeling and recognition in RGB and RGBD images, voice command recognition and speaker verification have been developed and experimentally verified. Particular attention is paid to the creation of skeletal perception modules in Artificial Intelligence and robotics-assisted agent control systems.
