How to reach Warsaw

Warsaw has good international and national connections through air and railway. Frederic Chopin airport is directly connected to major hubs including New York, London, Copenhagen, Frankfurt, Munich and Berlin. Intercity train connections link Central Station with all the major cities in Poland and Europe.

How to reach the conference centre

The map below shows the conference hotel Novotel Centrum (1), the tutorial venue at the university (2), the Warsaw Central train station (3) and the street towards the airport (4). The red line denotes underground (metro) with stations shown as labeled circles and directions marked as labeled arrowheads. The Agra hotel is located close to the station Racławicka (direction Kabaty).

The easiest way to get to the city from the airport is by a taxi. The fare for a ride from the airport to the hotel should be about 35 PLN (approx. 8-9 Euros). After 10 PM (22:00) you should expect to pay twice the amount.

Please take only taxis at the taxi stop – do not accept offers in the airport hall.

You can also use public buses:

175 – to Centrum (18 bus stops, 25 through 30 minutes)

188 – to Metro Politechnika (16 bus stops, 20 through 25 minutes)

Tickets are available in news-stands. A single ticket for a bus or underground costs 2.40 zloty (approx. 60 Eurocents). You can also use a one-day priced 7.20 zloty (less than 2 Euro). A ticket must be validated on the bus or before entering a metro station.
